The Beginnings

Plans are Changing… Again

Wait Emily shouldn’t you be in Croatia right now?

Yeah… God thought otherwise.

Hello from Houston, Texas. God changed my plans again!

Last Monday, I had phone call with someone from Fellowship International Missions (FIM). Going into the call, I was expecting to come out of it with some general information about what a mission board does, and how they help missionaries. What I came out of the call with was an invitation to apply to be an FIM missionary! After much prayer, I decided to begin filling out the application and seeking Gods plan for me with FIM. Unfortunately that meant canceling my plans in Croatia until I have further information.

But Emily hold on… what exactly is a mission board?

A mission board is basically the “employer” of a missionary. They support the missionary with stability, encouragement, and credibility. They are also the way a missionary can receive financial support from supporters.

If you want to find out more information about FIM specifically, this is their website: https://www.fim.org

God has been opening doors left and right. By now I should have learned not to make plans, because God always changes them a week or two before they are going to happen anyway. At this point, I have no idea what my summer is going to look like anymore. This has been a new step of the journey that I was totally not expecting, so right now I am just in the “waiting zone”. I have been praying for God to open a door to a mission board for months now and he finally brought one, so we will see what comes from this.

I just turned in my application yesterday, so I will let y’all know when I have an update.  Until then, God is faithful and good! Thank you for prayers!
