England, The Beginnings

A Leap Across the Pond

It’s almost time for the first flight across the Atlantic to begin my journey as a missionary! As I prepare to head to the United Kingdom on Sunday, I feel blessed knowing that God is going to be with me, wherever I go, for my entire life. The fact that he has given me life and has called me to do his work is an honor and a privilege. It is humbling to think that the God of the universe loves me. When I think about his love for me, I am Motivated to love other people. I am not always perfect, in fact I am far from perfect, but I strive to love people the way he loves me. I am excited to see what God is going to teach me on this trip. One of my favorite songs right now is “Life Changes” by Thomas Rhett. My favorite line in the song says “you make your plans and you hear God laughing.” Man is that a relatable line right now! I cannot imagine what my life would look like right now if God hadn’t changed my plans. I know that this is the right path for my life, and in the words of Stephen Curtis Chapman, “there’s no better place on earth than the road that leads to Heaven” (That’s another great song). Please pray for safe travels while I am in transition. I found out today that I would be unable to enact my previous plans to fly to Manchester because there were no seats left on the airplane! Now I am flying to London and from Heathrow Airport I will take the Tube to Kings Cross train station, and from Kings Cross, a Train to Sunderland. Pray that I will have the stamina to take this trip alone and that I will be able to carry my guitar case, backpack, and suitcase with ease. Thank you for the prayers and support!
